Connecticut Bible Records

Bible Records are an often over looked source of information. We need to remember that the printing date of the Bible would be prior to the date of any vital information, or we are relying on the person who added the information’s memory.

  1. I am seeking any information at all regarding Thomas Carnes, 1663-1735, who, according to family story, was once proprietor of the Hew Haven Ferry Tavern. He was supposed to have immigrated from Ireland in 1680 and married Mary Walker Brown, 1664-1704 , daughter of John Brown and Mary Walker. They apparently had 10 children.
